Carved from a piece of pine by a woodcarver named Geppetto, Pinocchio dreams of becoming a real boy. But first he must prove that he is brave, truthful, and unselfish with the help of his friend Jiminy Cricket, who is charged with teaching Pinocchio to follow his conscience.
