Âé¶¹´«Ã½ is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of its community. The university does not tolerate bias, discrimination, or harassment in any form. If you have experienced or witnessed an incident of bias or discrimination, we encourage you to speak up. Below are ways to submit concerns and access support related to bias, discrimination, and related issues.
Bias incidents include verbal, written, physical or psychological acts that threaten or harm a person or group on the basis of actual or perceived race, religion, color, sex, age, sexual oreintation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, disability, maritual status, civil union status, domestic partnership status, atypical heredity or cellular blood trait, military service or veteran status, or other protected classes as required by law and that interferes with one's educational opportunities or disrupts the living, learning and/or working environment.
Hate crimes are unlawful acts committed with the intent to victimize an indvividual or group based on the actual or perceived race, color, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin or ethnicity as defined by applicable laws. hate crimes can also be reported to your local police or Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Police at 609-652-4390.
If you have experienced discrimination from a current student, the Office of Equal Opportunity & Institutional Compliance can assist you with your report. You can also review Stockton's discrimination policy and procedures here.
If you aren't sure where to report an incident or concern regarding a student, you can always submit a report to the Office of Student Conduct and Stockton Cares, and we will make sure to route it to the correct office, if applicable.
If you aren't sure where to report an incident or concern regarding a staff member, faculty member, or employee, you can always submit a report to Human Resources.
